Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" video smashed Vevo's record for the most views in 24 hours, garnering 19.6 million in its first day of release. Now Ellen Degeneres has gotten in on the booty-shaking action with a parody of her own. On Tuesday, she celebrated the premiere of her day time talk show by airing a clop of Minja's video with herself edited in.
"There was a lot of booty poppin' right there," she said. "And I maybe popped a booty muscle or something."
The video clip promoted Minaj's scheduled Wednesday appearance on the show.
When Minaj appeared on the show, she saw the clip and asked Degeneres, "What did you just do?"
The talk show host replied, "What did you do? I was just minding my own business and then you do that."
Minaj laughed, "You are hilarious."
Although Minaj's version broke records, Degeneres told her, "If you would have put the version I was in that I shot with you it would have had more views."
Minaj's announced the release date for her long-awaited third studio LP, The Pink Print, late last night. It's is due out November 24. The tracklist and cover art for the effort are forthcoming. So far, she has released the singles "Pills N Potions" and the popular "Anaconda."
