Lewis Capaldi shared whether his break is over or not months after announcing his hiatus due to health issues.

In June, Capaldi halted his schedules "for the foreseeable future" after a series of instances where he struggled with his voice, especially during his Glastonbury Festival set. The famed musician has been dealing with mental health issues on top of his Tourette syndrome struggles.

Over half a year after the hiatus started, he disclosed what he plans to do next when he gave his fans an update.

Lewis Capaldi Is Still on Indefinite Break

On Instagram, Capaldi shared a lengthy message to greet fans with a Happy New Year and give them an update about his condition. He disclosed he had been working closely with professionals who help him understand his health issue and cope better with it and his anxiety issues.

 "As most of you will know, I'm currently taking some time off to focus on my health and wellbeing and it's been going great!" he said. "I've been working with some incredible professionals to help me learn about and cope better with my Tourette's and anxiety issues. I'm really happy to say I've noticed a marked improvement in both since I decided to take some time off back in June."

He recalled the time he announced he was taking a break and felt overwhelmed by the amount of reaction he received. He then thanked the fans who supported him and reached out to wish him well.

For now, Capaldi said he wants to work on himself to return to doing what he loves in the not-too-distant future, disclosing he would not be on stage anytime soon.

Capaldi's struggles were presented in the Netflix film, "Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now," from his mental health struggles to coping with the effects of his Tourette's diagnosis. It also disclosed his issues with anxiety and imposter syndrome.

He revealed in the film that he kept pushing back his treatment and avoided dealing with it for a long time. But after taking his steps to stardom, he shares how he noticed his twitches getting worse.

"When I'm in traffic, it flares up. When I'm exhausted or after a big thing, it gets very bad," he says, adding elsewhere, "It comes and goes. It's part of life. Get used to it."
