Pete Davidson recently admitted something that he did when he attended Aretha Franklin's funeral years ago and it's something that would be a big shock to everyone; what did the comedian do?

The former "Saturday Night Live" host recently appeared on his Netflix special titled "Turbo Fonzarelli" where he revealed that he previously used the drug called ketamine for more than two years and he also admitted that he attended funerals while being under the influence. (via The Inependent)

Back when he was still in a relationship with his ex-fiancé Ariana Grande, the two of them attended the funeral of legendary singer Aretha Franklin.

"It's embarrassing when you're not on ketamine anymore, though... I'm embarrassed," the singer said.

"I was out and about like that. That's not cool, you know? I was at funerals like that. That's f***** up, right? I was at Aretha Franklin's funeral like that. Yeah, I have to live with that. You know what I mean? She'll never know, but still, that's not the point," he added. (via Consequence)

Pete Davidson's Previous Struggles With Ketamine

In a previous report by the Los Angeles Times, Pete Davidson got candid about his usage of Ketamine. He reportedly took the substance every day for four years.

According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the drug could be used to treat depression because when a person uses ketamine, it allows them to feel detached from their pain and environment, but it could lead to sedation and amnesia.

Fortunately, Pete Davidson sought professional help and went to rehab for the betterment of his future.

"I am fresh out of rehab, everyone... I got that post-rehab glow. Seventh time's the charm!" he joked at one of his shows when he came back to performing after spending time at a rehabilitation facility.

Pete Davidson is now in his 30s and he wanted to start a brand new decade fresh as he wanted to get rid of the drugs anymore.

"You can't do drugs in your 30s... it's not cute anymore... you're just a drug addict," he said.

What Happened to Aretha Franklin?

According to AP News, Aretha Franklin passed away on Augsut 16, 2018, she was 76 years old at the time and the reason for her passing was due to her struggles with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer.

The musician was diagnosed with the medical condition abck in 2010 and sought treatment at the Karmanos Cancer Center.
