Rosie O'Donnell already knows exactly how hard it is to play nice when you purposely put several unique women together and ask them to hash out serious topics amongst themselves. Her first stint as a co-host on ABC's The View didn't end well; so many were shocked when her return to the show this season was confirmed.

O'Donnell claims to have grown enough to care a little less what people think of her now but she still was quite shocked at how negative the process of casting other co-hosts ended up being.

Last spring The View found itself in an inevitable state of flux with Barbra Walter's retirement. The producers also decided to cut Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd, leaving only Whoopi Goldberg to return to the roundtable format. O'Donnell's return was quickly confirmed but the battle for the two remaining seats was pretty ugly according to her.

Rosie told Variety that "it was very much like The Hunger Games, how they did it," and both she and Goldberg were called in to have mock debates with possible candidates so that the bosses could check out potential chemistry between the ladies with each potential co-host. Chemistry often comes from building a real relationship- even at work, so Rosie thought that these debates were pretty pointless and only made the environment even more cut throat than necessary.

Eventually both Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace were hired to join Goldberg and O'Donnell each morning but they all haven't been formally introduced yet. That meeting is set to happen later this week, and this time around the comedian sums everything up by simply saying, "I come in peace."

Do you think that this brand new panel of women will click with viewers' of The View? Fans claimed that change was necessary but are these the kinds of changes that will ultimately pan out?
