Music Times warned you that the final Digital Downloads' chart of the year would be chalk full of sales thanks to people cashing in on the iTunes/download cards they received for Christmas. The increasing profitability of EDM has been a theme throughout the year in both Music Times as well as numerous financial publications. Many businessmen and promoters are looking to make a buck off the trend, but one the producers themselves are definitely cashing in, as Forbes' list of the highest paid DJ's indicates. Calvin Johnson topped the list for 2013, bringing in more than $46 million (a total that topped Jay Z's earnings for the year). -

M.I.A. leaves Jay Z's Roc Nation label, advertises for new management team on Twitter
M.I.A. has announced her departure from Jay Z's Roc Nation label via a post on Twitter saying, "2012 I dlted the M.I.A. #MATANGI LP. HAPPY NEW YEAR | 2014." The rapper signed a management deal with Roc Nation last year while at her main record label Interscope. She started speaking out against Interscope a year ago after Matangi was pushed back for being "too positive." -

The Warner Music Company has offered a settlement for musicians and performers who believe they've been paid using the wrong basis. The company has proposed an $11.5 million sum to be divided among applicable parties. -
French Montana drops new 'Coke Boys 4' mixtape [DOWNLOAD FREE]
French Montana has released his new mixtape Coke Boys 4, part of his Coke Boys mixtape series. The 29-year-old South Bronx rapper brings in Coke Boys members Chinx Drugz, Lil Durk, Cheeze and Flip on the effort, which also features Jadakiss, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Snoop Dogg and Diddy, according to Complex.
