Much has been said about who Malaa might be that sometimes the actual music can get lost in the whole marketing campaign. The mysterious DJ/producer has teamed up with Tchami, the man who some believe to behind the project, to deliver their new single "Prophecy."

The tune is a dark, foreboding cut meant for the club floor. It is as weird as its cover art would suggest with a hyena and deer standing on very, very long legs.

The track starts out with a sturdy bass line and warbling synths before giving way to an ethereal break that slowly buildings into the eventual drop. This kicks into a simple and spacious drop with some heavy pitch bend on each of the bass stabs. Tchami's jogging bass line that normally are a constant throughout all of his songs are introduced in the second half of the drop to change the pass a little.

Tchami has been relatively quiet in 2016 thus far. He released a free download "SIAW" a month ago, but that was his first of the year. He released his Afterlife EP right at the end of 2015, which had features from label signee Dombresky, AC Slater and others.

Malaa on the other hand has been busy putting out singles and EPs over the course of the year, largely on Tchami's new label Confession.

The song is the latest to arrive on Confession that has been quite busy this year. It has been releasing several tracks or EPs a month and that trend looks to continue as the label grows into a more well-known brand in the dance space.
