The Chainsmokers have unveiled the music video for their chart-dominating single with Halsey, "Closer." The video stars Halsey and The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart as they get intimate, thinking back on their complicated past relationship.

It is a simple video shot in a few different places, like that hotel bar where they finally meet again. They spend a lot of time half-naked on the mattress that one of them stole from the roommate back in Boulder and out by a pool where Alex Pall's seemingly good relationship contrasts to the unhappiness felt between Halsey and Pall.

The video ends on a suspenseful note, just like the song, with the two meeting outside the hotel bar for the first time in four years without exchanging a word.

The Chainsmokers "Closer" has been the No. 1 record in the United States for nine weeks now and helped propel them from rising DJ acts, to full-blown stars enjoying the fame and fortune that comes along with it. The ride has been bumpy with some choice quotes in select interviews, but the hits have been there.

The pair is prepping some new music in the form of an EP coming out in two weeks.

The Collage EP will come with five songs in total, four of them already released including "Closer." Other previously released songs include "All We Know," "Inside Out" and "Don't Let Me Down." It will feature the new song "Setting Fire," featuring XYLO. The EP is similar to their Bouquet EP released last year.
