Following the reemergence of a video featuring "The Bear" star Ayo Edebiri discussing Jennifer Lopez's lengthy singing career, fans are saying there's no lie. It appears that younger generations can no longer appreciate the Grammy-nominated singer, and now louder in their claims that the Latina cannot sing.

The "Bottoms" actor on the "Scam Goddess" podcast from 2020 is heard calling Lopez's career "one long scam" in reference to the "I'm Real" singer's Super Bowl LIV performance.

This was revealed by TMZ ahead of Edebiri's "Saturday Night Live" hosting engagement with Lopez as musical guest.

According to Edebiri, Lopez "thinks" she's singing on many of her songs, but "it's not her"; this statement echoes rumors that Lopez employs ghost vocalists for her tunes.

The actor tells cohost Laci Mosely that she thinks Lopez believes that she's still good even though she's not singing for most of these songs.

Alas, Mosely concurs.

It's really unclear why TMZ reposted the video, but Edebiri's supporters were quick to give their support.

They said that TMZ is unable to stop Ayo Edebiri from airing the truth.

One popular X post said, "Where is the lie here? That lady is protected by God, the Republic of Ireland, millions of Nigerian WhatsApp accounts, and the Truth itself."

Edebiri is not the first to claim that J.Lo is not a good singer. Since Lopez's early career, there has been a persistent notion among her followers that she employs ghost vocalists.

The rumors have been fueled by the statements made by other musicians, such as Christina Milian and Ashanti, who claimed that Lopez used their voices a lot when composing her songs.

"Desperately trying to make a scandal out of someone saying JLo can't sing is like trying to make a scandal out of someone saying Gal Gadot can't act," a user on X said.

Some defended Lopez, calling for greater deference for the Grammy-nominated performer.

Regarding Lopez's response, the singer has stated in other interviews that she has been offended by claims that she is not a good vocalist, but she has dismissed them thus far. The two appeared to be getting along in a newly released "SNL" teaser tape, with Edebiri telling Lopez, "I love your everything."

A request for comment from Business Insider was not immediately answered by representatives for Edebiri or Lopez.
