Deadmau5 took a break from being the world's most recognizable EDM character last night (Sept. 10) in order to become an Uber driver.

The performer used is new, $300,000 McLaren 650S to pick up people who needed a lift in Toronto, according to the artist's Twitter and Huffington Post Canada. For those in the area using an Uber app, which connects riders with contracted drivers, Deadmau5's pristine white car was available for rides. At around 9 p.m., the artist tweeted "in toronto? need a lift? I'm working for @uber tonight, downtown toronto. get lucky." Tweets from riders who were able to cruise with Deadmau5, also known as Joel Thomas Zimmerman, began to emerge shortly thereafter. A vine from local reporter Tammie Sutherland shows off the impressive automobile.

Last week, Deadmau5 tweeted that he was signing up for Uber for "shits and giggles." At midnight, the EDM star assured everyone that he would keep the app handy in case he got bored and wanted to drive around.

When he's not picking up strangers off the street, Deadmau5 is fighting a legal battle against Disney over the trademark for his mouse helmet. The artist fired back with a cease and desist order because Disney used an unofficial remix, "Ghosts 'n' Stuff Re-Micks," and he did not give permission, which Disney claims they received.

"The music was appropriately licensed, and there is no merit to his statement. Disney vigorously protects its trademark rights, and we oppose Mr. Zimmerman's attempt to register a logo that is nearly identical to our trademarks for his commercial exploitation," a representative for Disney said in a statement. "Our opposition is not about the use of the Deadmau5 costume."

The statement went on to claim that the company has been looking into the trademark for about six months.
