Killer Mike was escorted out of the 2024 Grammys in handcuffs by police after winning three awards, but for him, a win is a win.

"As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter," the rapper said in a statement about his arrest.

Killer Mike broke his silence and revealed what caused the alternation at the Cyrpto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.

"We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the upmost [sic] confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing. Until that time, keep listening to Michael, and keep going after your dreams," he added.

Killer Mike Arrested at the Grammys

Despite being led away for a physical altercation, Killer Mike was still able to enjoy the rest of his evening and his three new Grammy Awards.

In fact, he considers the entire arrest merely a "speed bump" on his way. "We hit a speed bump and then we head back to the party, man," the rapper said.

"We partied all night. Ain't nothing had happened, man. But we [are] winners. That's it."

According to reports, several concerned calls were made to Killer Mike's team following the arrest. He thanked his supportive fans but reassured them that he was doing alright.

"I do want to note that last night, my team and I fielded a number of calls from concerned fans and colleagues wanting to know if I was OK."

He was escorted out of the premises relatively early; the broadcast was yet to even begin.

Killer Mike Focusing on Winning a Grammy

In a statement released to reporters, Killer Mike went on to declare that he is fine, doing great, even, and that he is no longer focusing on his arrest, instead he is celebrating his win.

"We are incredibly proud and are basking in this moment. I am also grateful that one of my prayers has been answered - the day after my Grammy win - I learned that my son, who has been on the list for a kidney for years, finally has a match. Obviously, we are elated," the statement read.

According to reports, a source also revealed that the rapper is "confident that the facts of the case, when laid bare, will show that Mike did not commit the alleged offense, and he will be exonerated."
