BLACKPINK's Lisa is joining the upcoming third season of the comedy-drama series, "The White Lotus."

The BLACKPINK star will now go by her birth name, Lalisa Manobal, in the upcoming season for HBO's "The White Lotus."

Fans eagerly wondered about the singer-dancer's role in the show, fueling a whirlwind of rumors for the last few months. However, it wasn't until Tuesday that the news was finally confirmed.

Lisa chose to maintain her silence, refraining from making any public statements regarding her participation in the show, as of writing.

The "Money" singer's career move follows her bandmate Jennie's appearance in the hit HBO show, "The Idol."

BLACKPINK Jennie Starred In An HBO's 'The Idol' First

Meanwhile, Lisa's co-star Jennie spoke about her first venture into the world of acting, explaining what captivated her about the role as Dyanne in the series "The Idol."

Jennie spoke with Women's Wear Daily and explained her admiration for Sam Levinson, the creator behind HBO's "Euphoria" starring Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney.

The 28-year-old "Solo" hitmaker was inspired by the creator's work that ultimately led her to take on the new challenge in her career.

In the show co-created by Sam, Jennie found herself in the company of Lily-Rose Depp and Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye. The storyline revolved around an aspiring pop idol, who, after the tragic loss of her mother, faced a profound crisis.

Intrigued by its focus on the music industry, Jennie found herself captivated by the series from the very beginning.

"I thought I could bring something to the role. I trusted Sam to be collaborative with all the scenes that we would be working on together because it was about the industry."

Having been immersed in the industry since childhood, Jennie's journey to become a Korean idol included countless hours of rigorous training.

Reflecting on her experience, she confidently expressed that the character of Dyanne offered her a unique chance to embrace her true self and showcase her bravery.

It's unclear how much Jennie made from "The Idol" and how much Lisa will make for starring in "The White Lotus."
