Katy Perry seems to be clearing her schedule up by leaving "American Idol" after serving as a panelist for seven seasons, so fans are demanding that she get back to a recording studio to work on new music.

"I love 'Idol' so much, it's connected me with the heart of America," the "Teenage Dream" hitmaker said during her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." "But I feel like I need to go out to feel that pulse of my own beat."

According to reports, Perry has been a judge on the talent show alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Byan.

While the singer is yet to reveal her next steps towards fiding the pulse of her own beat, it has already been confirmed that she will be performing at the Rock in Rio music festival in June.

"I love the show so much but I want to see the world," Perry continued. "Maybe I'll come back if they have me one day."

Katy Perry's Fans Beg For New Music

Following the news of the "Harleys in Hawaii" singer's exit from "American Idol," fans began rejoicing and shared their excitement at the prospect of new music.

"Thank goodness!!! Mother needs to get back into the studio," one wrote.

"MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED WHEN JESUS SAYYYY YESSSSS."

"WE ARE GETTING KP6," another added.

"Yea she gearing up to come back to being KATY PERRY......a lot of people should be scared."

The last time Perry released a full-length album was "Smile" in 2020, and while there are no music, she has been performing her chart-topping hits at her "Play" residency in Las Vegas since 2021.

According to reports, the "Fireworks" hitmaker is well aware of her fans' demands, and is, in fact, already working on a new album.

"Katy has been working on her most personal album ever for much of the past two years," a source revealed.

The singer is eyeing to release her album this year, along with an accompanying tour.

"The hope is that she can head out towards the end of 2024, but it is still being worked out," the source continued, noting that she "feels ready to tour again" after performing several Las Vegas residency shows.
