U2 and Apple have already combined to breach our iTunes libraries with free music.

But if you still want a closer look at Songs of Innocence — the album that was shoved down your throat — you can get it via the band's Twitter account.

On Thursday, Bono and co. posted a short clip of studio rehearsals and candid moments overlaid with dramatic narration.

"These songs were always destined," Bono says. "But rather than it being, you know, Painting By Numbers, where it's very disciplined and prescribed. It's coming together in a way that is even surprising for us.

"I always think of the Zen artists. They spend all their time mixing the ink. And then it's that last few minutes where all the work, the actual gestures are recorded. That's the way our albums always go."

Organic, no? Take a look at the behind-the-scenes footage and decide for yourself:

At the closing of a major Apple event on Sept. 9, U2 performed a new single, announced a new album and simultaneously released the LP to every iTunes user for free. iTunes users can now go into their music library and listen to the new 11-song album now.

Teased by U2's Bono as the band's "most personal album yet," Songs of Innocence is available for free for every iTunes, iTunes Radio and Beats customer through mid-October, according to Radio.com. All users have to do is go into their personal music library, leading Apple CEO Tim Cook to call it the "largest album release of all time."
