Bridgit Mendler has a couple of new titles to add to her long list of accomplishments--aside from being a lawyer, and having a Ph.D., among other things--the former Disney Channel star is now a CEO and a mother.

"The vision is a data highway between Earth and space," the "Ready or Not" singer told CNBC about her newly launched startup company, Northwood Space.

"Space is getting easier along so many different dimensions but still the actual exercise of sending data to and from space is difficult. You have difficulty finding an access point for contacting your satellite."

This is the singer slash actress' new venture after her stint at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT and Harvard Law School.

Bridgit Mendler Becomes a Mother

Aside from her new startup company, Mendler also revealed that she has adopted a 4-year-old child.

"The other news I wanted to share is I'm a mama to a sweet 4yo boy," the "The Good Luck Charlie" star wrote in her social media captions. "Started fostering in 2021, adopted near Christmas of 2022.

"I'm so lucky-being a parent is the biggest gift and most defining experience there is. That's my news for now folks."

It seems like with all her new ventures and being a mother, the "Hurricane" hitmaker is ready to let go of her Disney and music roots for something else.

Mendler did not say whether she plans to return to music or acting, however, fans think that "Hello My Name Is...," released in 2012, will be her first and only album.
