South Korean media outlets reported Shinsadong Tiger's death at the age of 40, leaving everyone shocked.

On Friday, February 23, TR Entertainment issued an exclusive statement to Sports Chosun to confirm Shinsadong Tiger's passing. The songwriter and producer, born Lee Ho Yan, notably worked on songs like Apink's "NoNoNo" and "Remember," EXID's "Up&Down," T-ARA's "Roly-Poly" and Momoland's "Bboom Bboom.:

What Was Shinsadong Tiger's Cause of Death?

TR Entertainment's statement did not disclose Shinsadong Tiger's cause of death, but local outlets said he was found dead inside his studio. A police source has also said there was no foul play involved due to a lack of criminal involvement indications in the death.

"As this news came suddenly, we are currently confirming the specific details. Once we have sorted everything out, we will provide information regarding funeral arrangements and other details," the agency continued.

TRI.BE, the girl group he produced, halted its upcoming activities and scheduled shows in light of the tragic loss. It apologized to its fans, assuring them that new schedules would be announced soon.

Meanwhile, fans left heartfelt comments as they offered support to TRI.BE amid the trying time.

One said, "deepest condolences to everyone affected by Shinsadong Tiger's passing. fans, friends, family. his impact will be remembered for a long long time."

About Shinsadong Tiger

Shinsadong Tiger debuted as a songwriter in 2005 and continued creating and producing songs in the years thereafter.

Per Yonhap News Agency, Shinsadong Tiger faced financial problems in 2017 and sought a court's approval of his debt rehabilitation measures request. It was later approved and helped him get back to work.

Shinsadong Tiger's death came months after "Parasite" actor Lee Sun Kyun was found dead inside a car in Seoul following an intense police investigation into his alleged drug use.
