Bradley Nowell shared his talent with everyone in a short span of time.
In 1988, Nowell formed Sublime in Long Beach, Calif., alongside his bandmates Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh. But only a few months before the rock band's debut, it lost its singer and guitarist after Nowell's death.

Bradley Nowell's Death
On May 25, 1996, Nowell was found dead two months before the scheduled release of his band's self-titled album and seven days after his wedding to Troy Dendekker.
"He wanted to be a rock star," Nowell's wife told Rolling Stone. "He said it was very rock 'n' roll, you know. Perry Farrell and Kurt Cobain and all those guys did drugs, and Brad wanted to see what it was like."
She also told Spin that Nowell got the "elitist attitude" because he was a "junkie."
Troy continued, "He always used to say, 'You guys don't understand because you don't do heroin.' A lot of junkies are like that. They think they're doing the most hardcore thing, sticking needles in their arm. We could say anything - 'We understand what you're going through' - but we really don't, and they know that. They like that."
Before his death, the rocker had several attempts to get clean. However, things went crashing down amid his and his band's tour. He died at the age of 28, and his ashes were soon scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
Bradley Nowell's cause of death was soon ruled a heroin overdose.
Sublime split after his death, but the surviving members eventually decided to reform the band with Rome Ramirez.
Who Was Bradley Nowell's Wife?
Bradley Nowell's wife, Troy, shared her son, Jakob James, with the late singer. The duo started dating in the early 1990s and enjoyed a short-lived marriage that was ended by Nowell's death.
Per news outlets, Troy remarried in 2022.
