Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco accomplishes a lot in his new video covering Burt Bacharach's "This Guy's In Love With You."

The video primarily serves as an introduction to DeMarco's new guitarist, Andy White, who will be taking over for Peter Sagar. Viewers don't learn much about White's ax skills, but they do find out that the guitarist doesn't take himself too seriously, which is an invaluable trait when teaming up with DeMarco. Fans also discover that White is just a big sweetheart.

"I am a Taurus, while Peter was a Pisces. I hope that doesn't matter at all," he says in the home movie footage. "I want everyone in the world to know that they're beautiful, they're a genius, everyone's body is gorgeous as hell, and when you touch someone, you transmit energy, knowledge and passion. Don't be afraid to reach out."

Lastly, it's evident that White can rock a mustache with style.

On the musical side of things, the cover is a bit questionable, at least on paper. DeMarco and crew do an excellent job with the song, which was written by Bacharach and released by Herb Alpert in 1968. Much like the video, the production isn't overblown and DeMarco weaves the tune into a dreamy soundscape. Somehow, the footage of White charging around New York City in American flag parachute pants just works. Watch the video below to see White in all his glory.

DeMarco currently has a break before he hits the road for the last leg of his world tour. The singer, supporting his April release Salad Days, will be making stops at the Austin City Limits Festival and The Fillmore in San Francisco before he heads across the Atlantic for some European dates.
