Taylor Swift can certainly inspire, and even influence trends. Now that she's obviously in love with Travis Kelce and fans love her relationship with the athlete, the effect is that most of her fans are also now in the look out for the same kind of man. Good for Kelce-like men, and bad for those that fall short of the same appearance.

Hello Travis Kelce

According to Daily Mail UK, because of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's increasingly strong relationship, social media users from Generation Z have expressed their preference for a strong, rough "protector" over a stylish, slender one, much to Swift's obese American football player boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Girls have begun posting videos on TikTok, the popular video-sharing app among teens, explaining that they are "following the trend" and selecting "strong" males like Kelce.

Dubbed "America's golden pair," Ms. Swift, 34, and the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player have been dating since September and have been well publicized about their romance.

In a video that received 6,000 likes, one TikToker stated, "Gen Zs, who previously preferred skinny guys, are now drawn to men who can protect them."

Bye Harry Styles

It has been observed that Gen Zs are turning away from males like Harry Styles and Timothee Chalamet, who formerly wowed fans with their baby faces and svelte bodies.

Ironically, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles used to date each other.

The ex-couple, known to fans as "Haylor," dated from the end of 2012 to the beginning of 2013, and they seem to have stayed amicable during that time. Certain tracks from the 1989 album, both the original and the reissue, seem to make references to the relationship in the lyrics.

Men have historically been the fighters, the protectors, and the cavemen, according to a film elucidating the change. It has also inspired the so-called "Twink Erasure era."

The "Twink Erasure" idea, a popular phenomena on TikTok, is the source of the tendency toward selecting guys who are stronger.

A "twink" is a phrase that was originally only used by the LGBT community to describe males who had a baby face and a smaller build.

Men who fall within this group have been heralded as the most attractive and sought-after by women in recent years. However, some users of the platform now think that "twinks" are putting on weight in order to seem more appealing to women.

Users on the forum believe that Chalamet, 28, has gained weight and is no longer a "twink" based on an image that has gone viral.

Since her former lovers, like actor Tom Hiddleston and vocalist of The 1975 Matty Healy, had generally smaller frames and were considered "arty," Ms. Swift has been attributed with initiating the trend.

Actor Joe Alwyn, 33, who has been her six-year partner, is three inches shorter and has a thinner body than NFL star Kelce, standing at six feet two inches.
