RAYE, Miley Cyrus' Historic BRIT Awards Win

While RAYE is no stranger to the music scene in England, she is a relatively new face to audiences and fans.

The singer recently released her first studio album last Feb. 3, 2023, which produced seven singles: "Hard Out Here," "Black Mascara," "Escapism," "The Thrill Is Gone," "Ice Cream Man," "Flip a Switch," and "Worth It."

During her acceptance speech after winning Album of the Year, RAYE was reduced to tears: "You just don't understand what this means to me. ... I'm ugly-crying on national television. All I ever wanted to be was an artist. And now I'm an artist with an album of the year."

Meanwhile, a little under a month after winning her first Grammy, Cyrus once again earned a major milestone in her music career after earning her first Brits Award for her chart-topping hit "Flowers."

"I wanted to say thank you so much for voting Flowers as the International Song Of The Year," the "Hannah Montana" star said in her acceptance speech.

"And a special thank you for giving me somewhere to wear this dress," she added, giving the audience a spin, showing off her glamorous backless dress.
