Madonna welcomed Kylie Minogue, Australia's Princess of Pop, to the stage during her Celebration Tour stop in Los Angeles Thursday night (Mar. 7).

Kylie and Madonna sang Gloria Gaynor's girl-power disco classic "I Will Survive" as well as Kylie's 2001 smash "Can't Get You Out of My Head" at the city's Kia Forum. 

The venue commented on Kylie's Instagram post of the performance:: "We've been operating for over 55 years, and that was one of the most iconic moments here ever."

Fans flocked to upload photos and videos of the phenomenal duet to social media. 

Kylie's video showed herself grooving to Madonna's 1998 William Orbit-produced "Ray of Light" in the audience before taking the stage with the music icon. 

She wrote, "MADONNA. It's been a long time coming!!! LOVED being with you!!!! Celebration Tour AND it is now International Women's Day .... THANK YOU and LOVE LOVE LOVE."  

 

Kylie gave the ultimate respect to Madonna and her admirers by wearing a blouse with her name, in reference to a decades-old mutual admiration society: Madonna donned a "Kylie" blouse at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm.

Minogue is currently high-profile in the music scene as can be seen in her recent slew of achievements.

She received the Icon Award at the Billboard Women in Music event on Wednesday, extended her Las Vegas residency at the Venetian's Voltaire through May, won her second Grammy last month, and signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) for live representation in the US and Canada.

The 55-year-old additionally won the BRITs Global Icon award at the 2024 BRIT Awards in England, where she's a national treasure.

Kylie has had two Billboard Hot 100 top 10s, "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" at No. 7 in 2002 and "The Loco-Motion" at No. 3 in 1988.

Madonna began her five-night Celebration Tour run in Los Angeles on Monday (Mar. 4).The tour pays tribute to her hits, personal challenges, cultural impact and lasting influence.

The 65-year-old stated on the first night of her L.A. tour that her serious bacterial illness in June 2023, which led to her hospitalization and the suspension of her current tour, made it hard for her to walk. She informed the gathering, "This summer I had a surprise," clutching a cowboy hat and a guitar. "Near-death experience."
