Since "Barbie" rocked box-office tickets last summer, many have anticipated Ryan Gosling's Oscars performance of "I'm Just Ken."

However, when asked about it in the past few months, Gosling has since dismissed the idea of performing the song, but it seems like there's another story to it!

Margot Robbie Reveals Ryan Gosling Real Emotions On 'I'm Just Ken' Performance

Despite his initial public pronouncements that he didn't want to perform the Oscar-nominated song at the Academy Awards, Margot Robbie revealed that Ryan Gosling really wanted to perform the song at the ceremony.

"He jumped at this," Robbie told Variety. "He's going to crush it. I'm so excited. I think he's going to be the highlight of the whole night. I think a lot of people are going to be tuning in for this specific performance."

Gosling revealed to the publication in February 2023 his true feelings on performing the said song at the ceremony.

"It might be too much of a risk to have me do it," Oscar-nominated Best Supporting Actor Ryan Gosling said. "I don't know how that would work. But I'm open to it."

After being asked if they would substitute another singer-actor for the performance, Mark Ronson, one of the two songwriters of the track, told the publication that if Gosling didn't want to do it, they wouldn't do it all.

Eventually, Gosling was announced to perform the song at the 2024 Oscars on March 10, 2024. Ronson and Andrew Wyatt are also expected to be part of the performance.
