Michael Jackson's biopic, "Michael," is something pop fans have been waiting for for so long. With his nephew, Jafaar Jackson, helming the titular role, it's already a promising project.

In hindsight, many critics and fans are also wondering whether the late Michael Jackson's issues and lawsuits will be included in the upcoming biopic - and it seems like the people already have the answers.

Michal Jackson Biopic Will Include His Child Molestation Drama, Lawsuit

Puck News initially reported a piece of insider information, which Variety then confirmed that director Antoine Fuqua, producer Graham King, and screenwriter John Logan would "contend" with the allegations in their film - meaning they would probably talk about the issues in the movie.

These include the monthslong criminal trial in 2005 that he faced for child molestation and intoxicating a minor, which he has vehemently denied and was eventually acquitted for.

Since then, Michael Jackson's estate has remained firm about this matter, noting that the "only honest portrayal of the allegations is one asserting Jackson's innocence."

The recent confirmation follows the press releases promising the film to be a "riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man." It will detail his "undeniable creative genius" and "human side and personal struggles."

Michael Jackson Estate Approved of Every Creative Decision?

Given that the Michael Jackson estate is heavily involved in this production, this presumably means that they have greenlit the inclusion of the contentious topic in the film.

Reportedly, Variety says that at least one other member of Jackson's family is on the set daily. Additionally, another source shared that the Michael Jackson estate has "put their trust in Graham King, stepping out of the creative process."

"Michael's life was complicated," producer Graham King said in a statement. "As a filmmaker, I look to humanize but not sanitize and present the most compelling, unbiased story I can capture in a single feature film and let the audience decide how they feel after watching it. Michael clearly remains an impactful, culturally relevant artist with a life and legacy worth exploring."

The adult Michael Jackson will be played by his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson. Academy Award-nominee Colman Domingo and NAACP Image awardee Nia Long will play Joe and Katharine Jackson. Meanwhile, Miles Teller was recently cast as John Branca, Jackson's attorney and the co-executor of his estate.
