The lineup for the 2024 Glastonbury Festival has been revealed, and it includes a name that might not be familiar to some: Seventeen, a KPOP boy group that has been breaking into the Western music scene for the past couple of years.

According to NME, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and Shania Twain will headline the Glastonbury Festival, but several other high-profile artists have also been announced, including Cyndi Lauper, Janelle Monae, Paloma Faith, Camila Cabello, Anne-Marie, and others.

However, the one that made the most noise online is Seventeen, who happens to be the very first KPOP act to be invited to perform at the highly anticipated and well-attended music festival.

Glastonbury Festival 2024 Welcomes First KPOP Act Seventeen

Seventeen is slated to grace the pyramid stage of the five-day festival that will take place at Worthy Farm in Pilton in Somerset, England, from Jun. 26 to 30.

South Korean news outlet Soompi reports that the KPOP boy group's addition to the lineup comes a day after Lollapalooza Berlin 2024 announced its lineup, which also included Seventeen.

As of this writing, none of the KPOP act's members have shared personal statements regarding the new career milestones; meanwhile, their fans, who are called Carats, are ecstatic and thrilled.

Music festivals have seen an uptick in KPOP acts in recent years after Blackpink headlined Coachella in 2023.

KPOP girl group Le Sserafim and boy group ATEEZ will make their first appearance at Coachella 2024 in April.

While they may not be as well known in the Western music scene, they are hailed as top performers and artists in South Korea.
