Some of the 2024 CMT Music Awards' top nominees and other country music guests will perform at this year's telecast.
Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll will perform on the live telecast, scoring three nominations each.
2024 CMT Music Awards Performer Lineup
Variety reports that Lainey Wilson, who has yet to win her first CMT Award after being nominated thrice in the past for Breakthrough Video of the Year in 2021, First Performance of the Year, and Video of the Year
in 2022, will be performing this year.
She's nominated for Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year for "Watermelon Moonshine" and Collaborative Video of the Year with Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real for "More Than Friends." She also performed her award-winning song last year, "Heart Like A Truck."
Jelly Roll, who is also up for three nominations, will be performing, too. He has been nominated for Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and CMT Performance of the Year, all for "Need a Favor."
Newcomer Bailey Zimmerman, who was previously nominated for Male Breakthrough Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year in 2023, is also performing this year. He's up for Male Video of the Year this year with "Religiously."
On the other hand, Keith Urban and Sam Hunt will also be performing despite not being nominated for any categories.
2024 CMT Music Awards host Kelsea Ballerini will host the 2024 CMT Awards this year and perform on the show. She's also nominated for three awards for Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year for her song "If You Go Down (I'm Goin' Down Too)." Meanwhile, she's up against strong women for "Penthouse" in the Female Video of the Year category.
The 2024 CMT Awards will be held at the Austin's Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on Apr. 7, 2024. It will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can stream it on the CBS app and Paramount+.
