Blanket, the youngest son of the iconic Michael Jackson, appears to conflict with his grandmother, Katherine Jackson.

In recent news, the 22-year-old son of the King of Pop has taken legal action to prevent his grandmother from accessing his late father's estate funds to support an appeal process.

This development follows Blanket's notable public appearance in Los Angeles, where observers noted his mature and sophisticated demeanor.

Recent information reveals that Blanket and his grandmother collaborated to oppose a significant business deal orchestrated by Michael Jackson's estate executors.

While specific details about the transaction remain undisclosed, recent reports suggest it could involve the estate's agreement with Sony to sell a portion of Michael's music catalog for $600 million.

According to sources at TMZ, details reveal that the documents outline the efforts made by the son of the deceased music icon and his grandmother to contest the agreement.

Despite their arguments, the court ultimately sided against them, officially closing the case.

However, a recent development has seen Katherine opting to challenge the court's decision through an appeal.

Blanket Jackson's Battle

According to new findings from the outlet, Blanket is reluctant to appeal the case, doubting its true advantage for the trust's beneficiaries.

Furthermore, Blanket, whose real name is Bigi, firmly believes that his father's estate should not bear the financial burden of the appeal.

In his plea to the court, he specifically requests the consideration of his grandmother's reasonable attorney's fees from the initial legal battle preceding the appeal process.

Katherine is said to receive a substantial seven-figure allowance annually as per the executors of his estate.

In the court filings submitted last June, Blanket emphasized his intentions of maintaining secrecy around his position, stressing the importance of confidentiality in legal proceedings.

The documents indicated that Blanket values his privacy greatly and would have chosen to remain silent if he had known his words or stance would be made public.

This decision could have hindered the trial court from thoroughly examining all facets of the proposed action.

The youngest of three siblings, Bigi "Blanket" Jackson is the son of Michael. His older brother is Prince Jackson, 27, and his sister is Paris Jackson, 25. While he was previously known as Blanket during his childhood, a few years back, he decided to go by the name Bigi.
