The iHeartRadio Music Awards is just around the corner, and the red carpet will be graced by a lineup of celebrities. Among them is Katy Perry, who is making a highly anticipated return after a hiatus of over four years without new music.

As reported by E News, Perry is set to make a dazzling appearance at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, sharing the stage with a constellation of stars, including Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Hudson, T-Pain, Latto, Meghan Trainor, Stevie Wonder, and even film industry giants Meryl Streep and Jared Letto.

This is the "Hot N Cold" hitmaker's first appearance at a music event in several years; all eyes are on her.

Why Katy Perry Seemingly Went on Hiatus?

In 2020, Perry welcomed her daughter, Daisy Dove, and released her sixth studio album, Smile.

While focusing on being a mother, Perry also worked as a judge on The American Idol; she recently announced her exit from the show after six years.

"I think this will probably be my last show, my last season for Idol," the "Dark Horse" hitmaker said during her Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance.

"I love Idol so much. It's connected me with the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse to my own beat."

Perhaps Perry missed the rush of performing and making music after Play, her first concert residency at Las Vegas' Resorts World Theater.

Play ran from December 2021 to November 2023; it has 10 legs and 80 sold-out shows.

"Let's just say I'm creating space for my new wingspan," she teased.

Katy Perry Teases New Album

Four years after the release of her latest album, Perry is ready to return to work and unveil her latest creation and masterpiece.

"Katy has been working on her most personal album for much of the last two years," a source said about the upcoming album. "She's been doing it on her own terms, and it's quite different from anything he's put out before."

For now, fans call it KP6 since the "I Kissed a Girl" singer has not divulged any details.

"After spending so much time on the West Coast of the US, she feels ready to tour again. The demand is there because she has many hits, so taking his work on tour will surely be a great attraction."
