Bruce Springsteen made a major comeback this year for his tour with his E Street Band as he canceled his shows last year due to a health problem. More recently, one of his younger fans attended his concert and she made him sign her absentee note for her to skip school the following day.

According to Consequence, the music legend's shows can be very long as an average night lasts nearly three hours with over 29 songs included in the setlist. This can be a big problem to those who have classes the following day.

Fortunately, an unnamed young girl from the crowd got her absentee note personally signed by Springsteen himself as she brought a sign that read "Skipping School Sign My Note?"

In a post shared on Facebook, one fan shared a video and photos of the musician signing the excuse letter, as she wrote in the caption, "Bruce knelt down directly in front of me to sign a school excuse for the little girl behind me...."

Not the First Time Bruce Springsteen Signed an School Absence Note

This wasn't the first time Springsteen did it to a young fan as he also signed an absentee note for a fifth-grader in 2016.

According to ABC News, a student named Michael Fenerty, who was 10 years old at the time, attended a booksigning event for the singer's book Born To Run.

"My son's grown up with it and he's always wanted to go. I took him to a concert in September and he loved it. He loved the show and then soon thereafter they announced this book signing and I was able to get a couple tickets and Michael wanted to go," the kid's dad, Mike Fenerty, who claimed to have watched over 160 shows of Springsteen, told the outlet.

It seemed like the young boy's absence from his classes was worth it as he was able to meet Springsteen up close in person and they even had a photo together.

The dad recalled the singer "lit up" after he saw his kid and the two were able to bond for a short moment as Springsteen gave him hugs and a high-five.

Bruce Springsteen Tour 2024

After cutting his 2023 tour short due to his peptic ulcer disease, the musician is back this year and he's stronger than ever.

Springsteen and his E Street Band will continue their shows across the United States, Europe, and Canada this 2024.

Their next show will be at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA, on April 4 and 7, 2024. More information about tickets and his complete tour dates are available at his official website at this link.
