Ludacris finally explains what really went down backstage at the 2007 Grammys when he initially claimed that he was told off as being loud by Justin Timberlake.

The rapper won Best Rap Album for Release Therapy and Best Rap Song for "Money Maker" in 2007 while Timberlake won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Dance Recording for "My Love" with T.I. and Sexyback, respectively.

Ludacris Claims Justin Timberlake Shouted At Him At The Grammys

Speaking to Drink Champs in February 2024, Ludacris revealed that he was wildly celebrating his win at the 2007 Grammys backstage when he heard someone telling him off while he basked on his recent success.

"At this time, they had all the artists separated by curtains, so motherf-ers weren't in specific rooms. I say that to say I get back and I'm like, 'Yeah! F- yeah! I made it! I did it! I won! I literally set out to get a Grammy and I got it!'" he recalled. "All of a sudden, I hear this voice from the other side of the curtain. They yell, 'Shut the f- up! Some of us didn't win any God-n Grammys today!' I pull the curtain back and this n-a Justin Timberlake is on the other side of that motherf-er."

Since then, the internet earned another reason to trash Timberlake and his alleged rude behavior.

"JT has consistently proven to be the most pathetic baby in the industry," a user said on Reddit.

"I get JT might have been joking, but he also strikes me as someone completely incapable of being happy for anyone else. He just oozes narcissistic energy," another commented.

"This is hilarious, but how does Justin Timberlake somehow manage to get even more insufferable each time I find out something new about him," someone wondered.

Ludacris Explains 2007 Grammy Debacle With Justin Timberlake

In a conversation with Sam Evans on Hot Ones, Ludacris finally cleared the air on what really happened between him and Timberlake on the backstage of the 2007 Grammys.

"The Internet went a little crazy with it. He definitely meant it, but it was no cursing out. He was behind the curtain and I was celebrating so openly and I was so loud," Ludacris shared. "I think it was said more in fun, but there was definitely some truth behind it. Like, 'OK, show's not over. Stop celebrating so openly, I haven't won any yet.' With a smile on his face type of thing."
