People on social media blasted Jennifer Lopez for allegedly being rude to a reporter who asked her about her dress at the recently concluded 2024 Met Gala.

USA Today reporter Anika Reed posted a video of her interaction with Lopez on TikTok, showing the singer's rather unamused reaction and "rude" reaction toward her rather cheerful tone.

"Who are you wearing tonight?" Reed asked cheerfully, but Lopez responded brusquely, "Schiaparelli," and ignored her immediately.

Vogue reported that Lopez wore a see-through butterfly Schiaparelli dress at the Met Gala, reflecting "The Garden of Time" dress code of the fundraiser event.

Lopez arrived earlier than everybody because she co-chaired this year's fashion event with actress Zendaya, actor Chris Hemsworth, Latin superstar Bad Bunny, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Many have pointed out Lopez's unpleasant tone to the reporter, and some have been sarcastic in their reactions.

"I really thought people were being a little mean about her..but then I saw this," one claimed on TikTok.

"you'd think she'd fake that 'niceness' a little considering how much hate she gets now. give us more reason to hate u," another quipped.

"from the look on her face in most of the pictures, she must, as usual, been totally into herself and her grandeur. Rude, probaly that too," a user said in a thread on The Daily Mail.

Others seemed unsurprised by Lopez's reaction, as they had anticipated that her diva attitude would show up once again.

"This isn't new info, it's been reported before from others in the industry of her nose-in-the-air attitude. She is getting up there in age so she better humble herself real quick. Her lack of tour tickets sales says a lot," one reflected.

"Must be in a bad mood because of the lack of ticket sales and poor reviews of her doc," another user echoed.

Lopez, who has ramped up the promotion of her newest album, This Is Me...Now, experienced a dismal debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart when her project only opened at No. 38. Similarly, her supposed This Is Me... Live tour was rebranded to a The Greatest Hits Tour to attract more audiences.

She has quietly canceled seven arena concerts on her original tour schedule, and tickets for her show have been reportedly low.
