Yesterday (Sept. 16), Nick Jonas released the music video for his new single "Jealous," a song that was inspired very heavily by his real relationship with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. It's only logical, then, that Jonas' beau would be the star of the music video, and she appears playing the cello, relaxing on the beach and

But Jonas was by no means the first musician to book his real-life significant other for a gig in his music video. In fact, some of the most iconic and fun visuals have all time have featured IRL couples, from Jennifer Lopez  and Ben Affleck to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen to the odd coupling of Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley, the couple music video is no new concept... So, Music Times decided to take a look at some of the best love letter music videos of all time...

Even if their love couldn't last forever, these music videos certainly will. Check out the nine most iconic real relationships depicted in music videos below:

Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck, "Jenny From The Block"

Long before we had Brangelina, the dominant celebrity couple was far and away Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. In the early 2000s, Bennifer were beyond plagued by the paparazzi, and they decided to address this issue in the music video for "Jenny From The Block," which features some salacious footage from both the paparazzi's point of view and the "real side." This thing is legendary and the epitome of the couple music video.

Michael Jackson & Lisa Marie Presley, "You Are Not Alone"

Sometimes, it's hard to believe but in the early '90s, the king of pop and the princess of rock 'n' roll were, in fact, a married couple. Amidst public outcry that the marriage was a sham, Jackson released the music video for his HIStory single "You Are Not Alone." Amidst crappily green screen shots of Jackson in a rainforest and the desert, the real life, actually real couple canoodles topless for the camera, shooting sensual glances at the camera to prove that their sex life is healthy as Jackson battled sexual molestation allegations. Despite the circus around Jackson's relationships and personal life, this is a truly iconic clip.

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian, "Bound 2"

If Bennifer was the high paparazzi target of the early 2000s, they can barely compare to THE GREATEST COUPLE OF ALL TIME, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. In the vein of high profile couples with huge egos, Kimye released a music video for West's Yeezus single "Bound 2." Featuring little more than a wind machine, green screen and a topless Kardashian riding dangerously on West's motorcycle, this music video is all showing off Kardashian's beauty, of which West is very much a fan. Uh-huh, honey.

John Legend & Chrissy Teigen, "All Of Me"

John Legend's 2014 tender smash hit "All Of Me" is very much about his adoring wife Chrissy Teigen, so it's only logical that she would then star in the track's music video. Shot in an artistic black and white, "All Of Me" focuses on the little things to find comfort in at home... a dip in the pool, a morning cuddle and the sweet, sweet piano music of Legend. The video ends with some heartwarming real footage of Legend and Teigen's wedding, just in case the rest of the clip wasn't enough to make you cry happy tears.

Robin Thicke & Paula Patton, "Love After War"

Though the once storybook marriage of Robin Thicke and Paula Patton has now come to an end, the couple co-starred in a music video for "Love After War." Announced at the beginning as a "very serious film starring the American pop star Robin Thicke and rising movie star Paula Patton," "Love After War" is actually a pretty playful clip, featuring the former lovers parading around on a bed in various scenarios, as Patton dons a blonde wig and wears lingerie. There's also some serious macking going on here, because their love was pretty real.

Enrique Iglesias & Anna Kournikova, "Escape"

Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova were on fire in 2001, and they captured their sexual electricity in a bottle in the steamy music video for Iglesias' "Escape." They make out in a bathroom, to the disgust of everyone around them. They make out in a car, to the casual shrug of a cop. They make out here, they make out there, they make out everywhere! All the while, Iglesias is singing to a giant crowd, but only sees the blonde tennis star of his eye. And, did you know they're still together 13 years later? Seems like that passion hasn't gone away, even after all this time! (This is more than we can say for most of the couples on this list.)

P!nk and Carey Hart, "So What"

Most of these music videos are, logically, love songs. But P!nk is not most pop stars and her relationship with husband Carey Hart is not like most relationships, so they opted for a Hart cameo in P!nk's 2009 break up anthem "So What." As P!nk parades around like the true rock star she is, she and Hart argue, take comfort in each other and look genuinely sad, depicting all the emotions of a marriage separation. (Luckily for them, however, their relationship survived the bump in the road. Yay!)

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon, "Love Story"

Nick and Mariah's love story may have come to an end in recent months, but you never would have guessed that would be the case from Carey's 2011 music video for "Love Story." The music video features exclusively footage of the couple, loving on each other in a hotel room, on a plane and in the pool. They look wholly enamored with each other, as Carey sings about their unlikely romance beating the odds (ouch, looking back now). There's even some real proposal and wedding footage thrown in, just for an extra punch of what once was.

Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey, "Sweetest Sin"

Jessica Simpson was very famously a virgin before she married 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey in 2002, and that concept is played very heavily in both the song and music video for "Sweetest Sin" (which actually dropped a year after their wedding... but whatever). The tantalizing clip features the wedded couple on the beach, rubbing all up on each other and making out like the newlyweds they were. Too bad this didn't last... but we still have this legendary music video.
