Lorde made her affinity for Kanye West public recently by covering two of the rapper's songs in concert, and now, Yeezus will reportedly be joining the young songstress in the studio soon.

Sources told the New York Post that West returned to LA Tuesday (Sept. 16) and is looking forward to making music with the pop star. Lorde gave West's "Flashing Lights" a spin at a Philadelphia concert this week and reworked "Hold My Liquor" at the iHeart Radio Festival in home country New Zealand last week, showing her love for the rapper's 2007 album Graduation.

Last year, the pair met each other prior to a talk show appearance and West had nothing but good things to say about the singer. "He said he liked the messages [in my songs], which was cool," Lorde told Rolling Stone. "I was saying to myself, 'Keep cool. This is normal.' He's a really mellow dude – super relaxed."

The collaboration would mark another impressive partnership for West, who is also working with former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney. The famous rock star had considered bringing a rapper in to record a song for his new album, New, but that never materialized. "[I] resisted the temptation," McCartney told Zane Lowe last year. But after Sir Paul went to see West perform, he was inspired to experiment with Auto-Tune. "[I thought,] 'You know what? That'd be fun.'"

West has been in the news all week, reportedly telling a handicap fan to stand up at a concert and then going on a tirade about today's media.
