Dave Grohl's life is safe now that GWAR drummer Jizmak Da Gusha has decided not to kill him.

Jizmak (Brad Roberts) posted a video on YouTube (see below) where he says he attended the Foo Fighters crowdfunded show in Richmond with "every intention" of offing the band's frontman, Spin notes. That was before Grohl gave a shoutout to longtime GWAR leader Dave Brockie, aka Oderus Urungus, who died of an accidental heroin overdose in March.

Grohl recounted the first time he saw the alien metal band near a local college before getting into the real heart of the story. "One of the greatest compliments, or non-compliments, that I have ever gotten in my life," he said, "I remember seeing this interview with Dave Brockie where they asked Brockie about a Grammy nomination, and somehow he made his way to me, and he said, 'Dave Grohl, he's actually had his teeth removed so he could fit more Grammy d-cks in his f--king mouth." The crowd let out a collective laugh before the frontman added, "So, right now, I give it up to Brockie. He would f--king hate that I dedicated a f--king song to him."

"He said something really nice about Oderus," Jizmak said in his video response to the tribute. "I decided I'm going to spare his life this time. Besides, the backstage brownies were delicious. Thanks, Dave!"

The drummer's mercy will allow Grohl to see the release of his group's eighth studio effort, Sonic Highways, which is due out Nov. 10 via RCA Records. A TV series companion to the album will air on HBO Oct. 17.

In other GWAR developments, the band recently added new member Vulvatron to the lineup, marking the first time a female monster will have a central role in the metal outfit. Vulvatron, aka Kim Dylla, will co-front the group along with Blothar (Mike Bishop/Beefcake the Mighty).
