For his newest video, Darius Rucker sings about a country girl taking New York City by storm with his single "Homegrown Honey."

The "country party song," as Rucker put it to Rolling Stone Country, will be included on his next album, which has yet to be named and a release date is pending. By the sound of "Homegrown Honey," which Rucker co-wrote with Nathan Chapman and Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley, fans can expect that signature country twang that's made the former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman a standout artist in the genre.

While there are little details known about his next non-seasonal album (he's got a record of Christmas songs set for release Oct. 27), shortage of material seems to not even be an issue. "We have written like 60 songs for this record, which is way too many," he told RS last month. "We'll sit down and decide which 12 or 15 we want to cut. We've already cut six or seven." Rucker also revealed that he will be working with longtime producer Frank Rogers. "Frank does great Darius records," he said. "I can't go in to record with the attitude that I want to sound different. It's all about the songs for me. I want great songs. And if we have great songs, then Frank is the genius and does what he does."

Rucker reunited with the Blowfish last month for their 12th annual Homegrown concert to raise funds for schoolchildren around Charleston, S.C., where the singer was born. While the group has plenty of hits to play, they don't mind digging into some of Rucker's solo material. "We did 'Alright' and 'Come Back Song' together. We just learn it and do it," he said. "Hootie has so many songs, so people love it when we play one of the country songs, but they also love it when we play 'Let Her Cry.'"
