There has been quite a bit of speculation lately surrounding Love & Hip Hop's Yandy Smith. Rumors have swirled that she was looking like she might be pregnant and finally her on/off boyfriend of about 7 years, Mendeecees Harris posted a photo on Instagram confirming that she is definitely with child. The couple also has an almost 2-year old son together and while they have found fame on the VH1 reality show that doesn't mean that life is perfect by any means.
Right from the first episode Harris explained that he had spent many years on the streets but made it sound like it was all in the past because he was on the straight and narrow, working in the music industry at a real job. Early last year fans of the show learned that Harris had been arrested in Rochester, NY and the fact that Smith had no idea what was going on with his case became her all-encompassing story line on the show.
Eventually it leaked out that Harris was one of three men accused of running a drug pipeline from NYC to the Rochester area and then distributing cocaine and heroin. Because Harris had a prior drug conviction in Maryland he was potentially facing a 20 year sentence after being accused of trafficking more than $2.5 million in drugs between 2005-2012. After about 15 months Smith finally managed to bail out Harris from prison but what has happened since has remained a mystery. The charges were never dismissed and it seems that this case is just tangled in the typical red tape of the legal system, leaving Harris' fate hanging in the balance. He is supposedly facing a drug trial in 2014 but that is the extent of the information that's available.
Obviously Smith and Harris have spent the last year moving forward with their life together but are you surprised that they are having another baby? Does that seem like a wise move all things considered? Smith struggled on camera to take care of her infant plus Harris' older son the first time he was locked up.
