Faith Hill may be out as the official songstress of "Sunday Night Football" on NBC, but the network decided to stick with the country music theme when it recruited Carrie Underwood to record theme song for the 2013 season.

"Waiting All Day For Sunday Night," a spinoff of the Joan Jett tune "I Hate Myself For Loving You," has been the official song of "Sunday Night Football" since 2006, and Underwood is only the third vocalist to handle the theme. Pop star Pink sang for the 2006 season, and then Hill took the helm for the next six years.

Underwood will be accompanied by 13 NFL stars during the "music video," which plays before every "Sunday Night Football" game (Check below to see if your team is represented. Our team, The Cincinnati Bengals, is not. The Green Bay Packers get two players however. No justice in the world).

After filming for "Sunday Night Football," Underwood will be taking part in some decidedly less testosterone-driven project for NBC. The country musician is set to star as Maria Von Trapp in a live broadcast of the musical "The Sound of Music."
