The A$AP Mob collaboration album may be shelved indefinitely but A$AP Ferg has been hard at work on his new album and he just announced an upcoming mixtape with DJ Drama as fans anticipate his LP.

"I can tell you I have a mixtape dropping with DJ Drama soon," Ferg said in an interview with Complex TV's The Fashion Bros! "Before the album."

He says the album is set to be released "early next year." That's definitely a more solid answer than the one he offered up during a recent interview with XXL.

"It's almost done. I'm just tweaking it right now," he told the magazine of his next LP. "I just want to get it in with a couple of more producers that I love, and it seems like the further I get into it I'm just trying to squeeze more magic out of it. So I think I'm just gonna keep going until the label tells me I can't go on anymore, honestly."

A$AP Yams broke news of the new mixtape via Twitter after announcing the Mob album had been put on hold.

"The Mob album kind of got pushed to the side right now. Everyone was putting their energy into their solo projects. Everyone in the Mob right now has a solo project and Rocky looking to bust that door back open with his new s--t. People are not ready, sonically, [for] what we have in store for them."
