On Thursday night (Oct. 9), veteran rockers Pearl Jam treated fans in Lincoln, NE to two John Lennon covers in honor of the deceased Beatle's birthday.

The 33-song set (see below via Setlist.fm) included Eddie Vedder going solo on The Beatles tune "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" and Lennon's hit "Imagine." The band also ran through Van Halen's "Eruption" and Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World," a PJ concert staple. And since they were in the Cornhusker State, the band threw in a debut take of Bruce Springsteen's "Open All Night" off his 1982 album Nebraska. Check out the covers of "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" and "Imagine" below via JamBase.

In July, Vedder performed "Imagine" during a solo show in Portugal. He recently released a recording of the cover to benefit Heartbeat.fm, an organization uniting Israeli and Palestinian youths through music. "They're looking for a reason to go across borders and take over land that doesn't belong to them," Vedder said about Israel at a show this summer. "They should get the f--- out and mind their own f---ing business."
