Foo Fighters is continuing its partnership with HBO and domination of the rock 'n' roll scene in 2014 with a new live stream concert in Chicago. In anticipation of Foo Fighters' new album Sonic Highways and the accompanying documentary series, yesterday (Oct. 15), the band announced that it will be performing a one-off club show in Chicago and that the event will stream on Facebook.

Foo Fighters and HBO made the show announcement yesterday. Foo Fighters will play an intimate show at Chicago's punk rock club Cubby Bear. According to HBO's Facebook page, the show will kick off immediately following the premiere of Foo Fighters' docu-series Sonic Highways at 12 a.m. EST (11 p.m. CST).

The Chicago venue is a fitting choice for Foo Fighters' beginnings to its Sonic Highways promotion cycle - the show's first episode takes place in the Windy City.

Sonic Highways the TV show follows Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters across the United States while the band records its eighth studio album. Instead of holing up in one studio, Foo Fighters traveled to rock 'n' roll capitals across the country and recorded at legendary studios.

Sonic Highways was recorded in Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, Nashville, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC and New York City, resulting in an eight-track album that is due to be released on Nov. 10.

If this Friday, Oct. 17, is just too far away to fathom for new Foo material, worry not. The album's lead single, "Something From Nothing" will debut tomorrow, Oct. 16.
