2 Chainz has a new LP coming out next week, "B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time," and he hasn't announced too much regarding its music. All we know is that "B.O.A.T.S." stands for "Based on A T.R.U. Story," which is a reference to his first LP, which means that the rapper has only worsened the habit of acronyms as album titles by placing an acronym within an acronym. There was some new information released by Chainz this week, discussing the new album's art work. More specifically, how Kanye West made it for him

"People won't believe how much thought goes into this stuff...Working with DONDA was good for the mind anyway," he said. "A bunch of guys, young guys, with all these crazy ideas and crazy resources getting pulled from different areas. Actually, this cover right here, and I don't even know if 'Ye wants me to say it, but he actually...photoshopped. Like he did something. I didn't know you could erase on the computer. This computer eraser. Move some stuff over. So, I was like 'Man, you slick a geek. I didn't know you was that smart.'"

The "crazy idea" 2 Chainz references on his cover art is a picture of a band of gold chain, placed next to another band of gold chain. With no offense to Mr. West, he did not have to go to the Rhode Island School of Design to copy/paste this bad boy. The imagery of the Cuban links (the style of chain featured) is symbolic however, according to Chainz.

"And the Cuban links, they mean-they're very symbolic in Hip Hop period," he explained. "Raekwon and Ghost had "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" and it meant a couple of things as far as how tight the chain was and how tight the link was with the Cuban's when you was dealing with the work and the trap and all of that. So, a couple of symbols that just says a lot of things."

Not the Illuminati reference we were hoping for, but it's a start.
