Rapper 2 Chainz had an unfortunate accident over the weekend. The Atlanta native was rushed to the hospital after his involvement in a multi-car crash.
According to USA Today, 2 Chainz was enjoying the festivities in Miami for the Art Basel when the car crash happened on Saturday morning. Three vehicles were involved in the accident that took place near Interstate 95.
Thankfully, there were no major injuries. Ignatius Carroll of Miami Fire Rescue arrived on the scene after 4 a.m. and discussed several people in a van who were hurt but not seriously. 2 Chainz was the only person who needed to be taken to the hospital.
The veteran rapper took to his Instagram account to assure fans that he was in good spirits. He also posted a video showing him being lifted into an ambulance.
Recently, Chainz and Lil Wayne released the second installment of Welcome 2 Collegrove, the follow-up to their 2016 effort, Collegrove.
The 21-track album features Usher, 21 Savage, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Benny The Butcher, and more. They kicked off the pre-release rollout with the singles "Presha" and "Long Story Short" prior to unveling the album.
Welcome 2 Collegrove is Chainz's first release since February 2022's Dope Don't Sell Itself.
