While Damien Rice's new song "I Don't Want to Change You" is an emotional powerhouse, it is still a questionable choice to showcase dance moves like the singer does in a new, trippy video.

Rice is soaked and lonely on a deserted dock in the new video for the song, which is off his upcoming third studio effort My Favourite Faded Fantasy, Consequence of Sound notes. When the tune hits its dramatic peak, the Irish singer begins to jerk and gyrate, seemingly more from a special effect than his personal dance repertoire.

Then he repeatedly falls in and out of the lake behind him during the "water races down" part of the song. It is a trippy video for a song that has fans hungry for more music from Rice, who has been dormant on the charts for about eight years. Check out the clip below.

The singer released the title track to the album, out Nov. 10, earlier last month before dropping "I Don't Want to Change You."

In a recent interview, which Rice usually strays away from, with the London Evening Standard, the singer talked about his recording hiatus.

"I was playing the biggest venues I'd ever played, and everything was quote-unquote perfect," he said. "And everything sort of crumbled and fell apart at that moment. I became really unhappy, and so that went spiralling down, down, down, where I got to this place where I had everything I thought I wanted and I still wasn't happy. That felt very, I guess, disheartening. So I kind of crashed."

Rice is currently on tour and all of his dates in the U.S., U.K. and Europe are sold out.
