Coldplay wants you to hear and see its Ghost Stories Live in the comfort of your own living room. Today (Oct. 20), the "A Sky Full of Stars" band announced that it will be releasing a live album and live DVD/Blu-ray from its latest album Ghost Stories.
According to Rolling Stone, Coldplay will release Ghost Stories Live on Nov. 24 -- just in time for that holiday shopping season. Pulling from six shows on its notably short 2014 tour, the live album from Ghost Stories is sequenced just like the album's original tracklisting, and the nine songs from Ghost Stories are the only ones to appear on the LP.
The live CD was recorded in London, Sydney, Cologne, Paris, New York and London.
The accompanying DVD/Blu-ray will feature a live performance from the Sony Studios in Los Angeles. Coldplay fans will recognize the custom amphitheater from the band's NBC special that aired earlier this year, but the DVD will feature new editing (in line with the Ghost Stories tracklist) as well as extended footage.
The DVD will also come with 10 music videos, including a director's cut of "Magic" and an animated take on "Always in my Head."
