Major League Baseball is set for its biggest event of the year, the World Series, and fans will be treated to a country-tinged lineup of national anthem performers. Trisha Yearwood will kick things off in Kansas City tonight, Oct. 21, followed by American Idol's Phillip Phillips Oct. 22, Little Big Town Oct. 24 in San Francisco and an instrumental version by Carlos Santana Oct. 25, according to radio.com.

Yearwood is currently in the midst of helping husband Garth Brooks with his world tour.

"Every day is pretty great, I have to say," Yearwood told the Tennesseean, according to The Boot. "I don't want to sound like one of those sappy couples, but I'm that person. We've got great memories already, we'll just make some more."

Brooks said it does not matter where the couple spends time together — whether that is on the road or at home.

"Home is wherever you're together," he said. "The best meal you've ever eaten is the one you eat together. Even just s----y TV shows are fantastic if you get to watch them side by side."

What kind of s----y TV shows, exactly? Well, Brooks recently learned an important lesson from an unnamed chick flick.

"The guy was making a toast at the wedding, and he said, 'The most important advice I can give you is marry someone kind,'" Brooks said. "And I looked at her, and I thought, 'Wow,' it's really sweet because when things get hellacious in a marriage and you're with someone that isn't kind, it gets really bad.

"You've always been kind to me, and I'll say it again, the worst day we've ever had together beat the best day I've ever had without you."
