Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds take a slick, straightforward approach in the video for their new single "In the Heat of the Moment," Consequence of Sound notes.
Gallagher and co. shared the track last week when they announced their upcoming album Chasing Yesterday. The video features the band jamming amidst a colorful light show. As far as videos go, it's pretty uneventful, but it works for the song, which satisfies contemporary rock interests and fans of Gallagher's old band Oasis. Check it out below.
Johnny Marr, who helped Gallagher out on the album's final track "Ballad of the Mighty I," talked to NME recently about some of the other tracks he heard from the album. "It's really good. What I heard of it was very melodic, some of it pretty rocking too, and fans are going to really like it," he said. "He doesn't do things he doesn't think are great. And his singing is really good on the album."
A handful of U.K. dates that Gallagher shared along with the album announcement sold out in 10 minutes when they were put up for sale Friday morning (Oct. 17). Gallagher will make stops in Belfast, Dublin and Manchester in March following the release of his second solo record (out March 2). Check out the tracklist below.
