Wilco used the second and final night of their Ryman residency to give hardcore fans the show of a lifetime.

"Who here is unfamiliar with Wilco and our records?" frontman Jeff Tweedy asked, before allowing a slight pause. "This is not the show for you."

He was right. A night after giving Nashville most of the hits — including "Heavy Metal Drummer," "Jesus, Etc." and "Impossible Germany" — the radio tap went dry, with scant pop offerings on Wednesday.

Night No. 2 featured deep cuts upon deep cuts, with brief gasps of familiar air ("You And I," "Kingpin" and "I'm A Wheel"). Leaning heavily on '90s content — including some tunes from their Billy Bragg record — the Chicago band put on a show for fans who have always wanted "Poor Places" and "Hate It Here" to be the highlights of the set.
