    Alabama Shakes, Tame Impala, Wilco, My Morning Jacket and Bjork are the 2016 nominees for the 58th annual Grammy Awards Best Alternative Music Album category -- but only one artist can take home the prize. We'll get to see which of these talents shines at the Grammys Monday, February 15, on CBS, but we're taking a look at who should win as opposed to who will most likely win.

    Wilco went more than four years without a releasing a new studio album, and then promptly dropped 'Star Wars' on Thursday, creating a sensation for alt-rock fans similar to what Drake did with 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' for hip-hop fans.   • Wilco Reinstates Indiana Concert After Controversial 'Religious Freedom Restoration Act' Gets Amended

    Wilco is no fan of Indiana's controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and even though the "Hate It Here" band protested the law earlier this week by cancelling its May 7 concert at The Murat in Indianapolis, Jeff Tweedy and co. have now had a change in heart after the law was amended to clarify that businesses could not discriminate against customers or employees because of sexual orientation or gender identity.

    Miley Cyrus is just one of many artists who are not happy with Indiana's recent Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Activists and celebrities alike have been critical of the new law because it could allow business owners to discriminate against the LGBT community. Governor Mike Pence has since asked lawmakers to correct the law with new legislation.

  • Wilco Cancel May Indiana Show

    Chicago-based rock band Wilco have decided to cancel their May 7 gig in Indiana in response to the recent and very controversial "Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act" that was signed into last by Republican Governor Mike Pence last week. The bill is gives businesses the right to deny patrons on religious grounds, but is perceived to go further in its language to potentially allow discrimination towards individuals, notably gays. Gay marriage became legal in the state last year after the courts struck down the ban and Republicans looked to counter with a religious freedom act. Wilco has exercised their own freedom to not perform in the state. The "I am Trying To Break Your Heart" band posted the news on the Facebook.

  • Shaky Knees '15 Lineup: The Strokes, The Avett Brothers, Wilco to Headline ATL Festival

    Atlanta's Shaky Knees Music Festival announced its 2015 lineup, and it certainly holds its own against some of the bigger events. The Strokes, Wilco and The Avett Brothers are set to headline along with Ryan Adams, The Pixies and Social Distortion. Tickets for the three-day festival, which will run May 8 to 10, go on sale Friday, Jan. 16, "Consequence of Sound" reports. The third annual fest is offering an array of talent from alternative to metal, with most bands falling in the indie rock category.
