Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean were set for separate 2015 tours until some smart person came up with an idea that will change the live landscape next summer. The two superstars will now combine their acts for a 10-date run between May and August.

"When we first started dipping our toe into that business a few years ago, he's the guy I would call or text for advice," Aldean said, via Taste of Country. "We have a real friendship.

"Don't get me wrong ... that doesn't mean I'm going to make it easy to follow me every night. He's gonna have to work for it harder than he ever has before!"

Here are the dates:

5/2/15: San Francisco, CA
5/16: Dallas, TX
6/20: Green Bay, WI
6/27: Seattle, WA
7/18: Minneapolis, MN
7/25: Pasadena, CA
8/1: Kansas City, MO
8/8: Denver, CO
8/15: East Rutherford, NJ
8/28: Boston, MA

As previously reported, the revitalized 46-year-old Chesney just announced his massive 55-date tour. The Big Revival Tour will be in support of this year's album of the same name.

"I made a conscious choice to take the year off the road because I knew that I — the record that I had in mind that I wanted to make, I knew I couldn't just mail that in," he told ABC's Good Morning America. "I couldn't do it balancing both worlds of being on the road and trying to be creative in the studio.

"The title alone really did hit straight to the heart to how I felt in this year off, in the studio, and making this music that I — that I really hope that will ... rattle the audience's cage."

Chesney said there is a common question fans and media throw at him.

"I get asked a lot, you know, 'What do you miss the most — this year?'" he said. "'What's the one thing that you can't really live without?'"

He answered: "It's the first note of every night. That's the thing that's anticipated the most by us as a band and as a road family, it's the shared moment, that first time you see each other. And that's my favorite part of the night. And that's what I've missed the most and what I'm looking forward to the most about 2015."
