In line with the new hip-hop vibe apparent on their new album, "AM," The Arctic Monkeys have taken a whack at covering Drake's single "Hold On, We're Going Home," which officially went gold earlier today.

The band appeared on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge where they played the groovy, alt-rock version of the track. They stayed true to the tone of the song while adding their signature punch. They incorporated the falsetto-vocal styling's, which used prominently throughout "AM," on this cover as well.

The band is definitely on to something here, and it would be awesome to see them do more hip-hop/ R&B covers. Their rendition makes the track more accessible for fans that don't usually venture into Drake's realm. Maybe Drake will sample some Arctic Monkeys material on track one of these days.

Check out their cover below and see how it compares to the original.
