The line between critical claim and alternative disdain is thing when it comes to electronic dance music, so hip kids were forced to debate the merits of music and their own conservative values (more conservative than you'd think) when Haim performed with Calvin Harris for the newly released track "Pray To God."

As SPIN points out, this isn't exactly "Titanium" (the producer's hit single featuring Sia) but there is definitely enough there to label this a house single. Heck, if you listen to just the first couple of verses you might be forgiven for assuming it was a new Haim single featuring Harris. The girls hit their harmonic peaks during the track's bridge, while the Scottish EDM star restrains himself from getting too electro until the hook.

SPIN reckons that this is a leaked track from Harris's forthcoming album Motion, which was scheduled to drop on Friday, perhaps to celebrate Halloween, one of the biggest nights of the year in the live electronic music scene. Another track, which featured Gwen Stefani, titled "Together" hit the internet on Tuesday

That collaboration seemed more expected than one featuring both Harris and Haim, but should it? The trio has certainly established itself as one with friends in many genres. Last single "My Song 5" featured a guest appearance from A$AP Ferg, while he, Kesha, Big Sean and Grimes all made cameos in the music video.

Even if you hate house sneaking into pop music (a la Coldplay's "Sky Full of Stars" featuring Avicii), you might have to just suck it up because the performers themselves are open to it.
