Corey Taylor and Stone Sour are concocting a covers album, Meanwhile In Burbank, due for release sometime in 2015.

"We've been talking about it for ever, since the first album came out," Taylor told the Jasta Show. "We always wanted this — it's something we've always come back to. We never had the opportunity to do it and we just kind of said, 'Well, screw it.'"

Classic Rock reports the title was inspired by drummer Roy Margoya's studio in Burbank, Calif., where recording session have taken place.

"There's no pressure; you're just having fun," Taylor said. "You're going back to these songs you just love to listen to, not only sing."

Taylor is also the frontman for Slipknot, who just released the single "Custer." Our own Shawn Christ broke down the track:

The frantic tune is driven by a new drummer, who is suspected to be former Against Me! beatkeeper Jay Weinberg (son of The E Street Band drum virtuoso Max), and plenty of repeating curse words, as NME points out. Frontman Corey Taylor kicks the track off with a spoken-word introduction, sounding eerily similar to Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody. Don't listen to this one if you're recovering from a headache ... it won't make you feel any better.

The band is currently not revealing who'll be pounding the skins in the near future.

"We're not saying who the new drummer is," guitarist Jim Root said. "Even if people find out beyond a shadow of a doubt who the new drummer is, I think we're always going to deny who it is. He might not last. He might tour with us a year and figure out we're all insane and he can't handle being around us. Or we might shut him out. Who knows? For Slipknot, I'd say drumming is only 50 or 60 percent of the job. The rest of it is who you are and what your personality is. Will you clash with guys like me, Mick, Clown, Corey, Craig and Chris? We all have these strong alpha-male personalities."
